I hear you. Just as a point of information, IBM's VARPG allows you to use whatever icons you like. Making icons is part of the fun! ;)

Well, I've been reading all these VARPG comments - and would like to add
to the confusion - that there is another product put out by ASNA, which
they call AVR - or ASNA Visual RPG - that works off of .NET and will
give you all the fun you could ever want.
The thing I liked about it the most was that the IDE used the MSFT
icons, etc., that I was used to. You can do any kind of windows gui
programming you like. Way cool company as well. Unfortunately, OUR
company is trying to get rid of the AS/400/iSeries/etc., so I can't
program in it any more.
You should try it out! It isn't going away!!
