AdamWe have an "open-source" - well, free, anyway - installer for Tomcat - do we support it? You bet we do.
You get the RSE Extensions directly on the SoftLanding site - I think you can rely on them to support it - their is certainly an implicit support expectation.
Just a note to all of us here on the list - since the information was posted here, that Mark Phippard is no longer with SoftLanding, there have been a number of subtle and not so subtle suggestions that things are not going to be as good at that company - let's be careful about this - acquisitions can make one nervous, yes, but they are not necessarily bad, and none of us have real evidence of a problem - let's not assume anything - if we have a question about anything to do with SoftLanding, give them a call - this is not their support list.

Thanks for the suggestion Vern. I'm not really sure if Softlanding should be relied upon to provide support for the RSE Extensions though - isn't this an open source project? In fact, I was thinking that I should look at the project's homepage and see if there are any lists or forums specifically for this project. For those who are interested - here's what I did to get the RSE Extensions working in WDSC v.7: 1. Create a directory for the RSE Extensions under your WDSC install directory (same directory that contains the directories SDP70Shared). 2. Open WDSC v.6. 3. Help->Software Updates->Manage Configuration. From here you can find out where the RSE Extensions are installed for v.6 - you can close v6 anytime after this if you like 4. Copy the contents of the directory for v6 (from step 3) into the directory you created in step 1. 5. Change to the directory from step 1.(for me this is C:\WDSC7\RSE Extensions). 6. You should see a directory called eclipse, a fine called .eclipseextension and a bunch of other files (readme.txt, INSTALL.LOG, etc.) 7. Move the .eclipseextension file into the eclipse directory. 8. Open WDSC v.7. 9. Help->Software Updates->Manage Configuration. 10. Click 'Add an extension location' in the right hand pane. 11. Browse to the directory you created in step 1. 12. Click OK. 13. Restart workbench. This is the process that worked for me, YMMV. I haven't noticed any problems yet, but I can't guarantee the same for you.
