Seems like a hard question for him to answer.  What do you expect him to 
say?
1-Ignore the question?
2-Latest quip from their director of marketing?
3-"None. Screw it - my last day is tomorrow."?

Not all acquisitions are evil.
Have we been recently acquired?  Yes.  Did it affect our IT staff?  No. 
What about our budget?  Well, we finally got our Mimix installation.
