projects don't lock the source and if you try to push the source to the iseries it will let you know the the source on the iseries has changed since you last pushed the source. I like Karl's ideas for ILE projects - imagine, something to put binding directories and bindery language and modules and all that together - wow! O wait - are you going to do that with your tool? </snip> That is exactly what my Make tool does. The instructions to create the object are in header. Like I had indicated, the thing I like about using my Make tool is that it works from WDSC and from the PDM just as well. If they provided something in WDSC, then when you tried to <snip> Personallly I've never found iSeries projects to be very useful - I admit I gave up pretty easily - we have TurnOver, so the point is moot. </snip> I used Iseries Project quite a bit but they have a bad flaw. They do not lock the source. If you use regular RSE, it keeps the source locked when you have it open. Projects does not lock the source. This is meant to support off-line development but someone else can open the source and edit while you have it and then you have a mess so I went back to RSE. Other than that they were fine. </snip> -----Original Message----- From: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of wdsci-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, March 19, 2007 7:59 PM To: wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: WDSCI-L Digest, Vol 5, Issue 208 Send WDSCI-L mailing list submissions to wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/wdsci-l or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to wdsci-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx You can reach the person managing the list at wdsci-l-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxx When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of WDSCI-L digest..." *** NOTE: When replying to this digest message, PLEASE remove all text unrelated to your reply and change the subject line so it is meaningful. Bob, I guess in some ways I'm still "old school". Heck, I've been know to occasionally write code on a napkin! =) Dennis p.s. But seriously I just never found a decent editor I liked and I don't have much call to write HTML here at work so I haven't tried using WDSCi for it yet.

Dennis, I don't know how many times I've heard "old" HTML coders say they use
Notepad.
I suppose its like Joe P. hearing that a Java/RPG programmer uses SEU.
