Buck, As I understand it, the outline view gets built from the cross ref, so if it shows in the cross ref I'd expect it to show in the outline. At one point, there was a bug you could work around by specifying H option(*XREF) HTH, Charles

Looks right. The Outline view doesn't notice my host variables but the compiler cross reference does. Note that the compiler has the advantage of having the precompiler expand those references...The line number is the physical line number of the source line.Should have guessed. My mismatch comes from looking at a program to see how it works, but not making changes yet. The sequence numbers are 1.01, 1.02, etc. not 100, 200. Good to remember. To 'fix' that, Source, Resequence all lines. Odd though, that 'Undo' doesn't undo that action. No complaints, just looking to understand better. --buck -- This is the Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries (WDSCI-L) mailing list To post a message email: WDSCI-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/wdsci-l or email: WDSCI-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/wdsci-l.
