Welcome to the Vista Trail of Tears when it comes to IBM software. It has
been reported Developers site that IBM WDSC will not support Vista until v7.
I was able to load the basic V6 and make it work on Vista v6 but I could
never get the RPU to work with regards to loading the updates. They (IBM)
made some change that allowed the RPU to find what updates were needed but
then went into a endless loop while installing the updates. I gave up and
will wait for the v7 which was to released on media on 3/16/2007.

P.S. I was able to load iSeries Access and get the emulator to work on a
Vista Home Premium edition even though the official IBM paper says they will
only support Ultimate and Business editions. The IBM people should work for
the office of the President because they are masters of mis-information and
half truths. They are truly members of the "what of it" generation to cover
their arrogance

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Trouble Updating WDSC 6.0 in Windows Vista

Anyone know if there is a way to get the updates loaded into WDSC
6.0installed on Windows Vista? The updater files saying that an error
was
encountered at line 4 of a manifest file of a jar. I can't remember the
exact one but I can post it later if needed. I also tried downloading the
update first but I get the same error.

Btw, It seems to run fine in Vista along with Code/designer so far...
