Hello all, Last week several of you pointed out SoftLanding's compare plug-in as an alternative to CODE's compare. I've used it now a couple times, and while in many ways it is superior to CODE's, when you look at what it takes to get the job done, I still prefer the CODE version. Here are my issues (hopefully you have some solutions): 1) If you use the compare in edit mode, you lose the date stamps on the member. The date stamp is extremely useful data, and I don't want to lose it. 2) You can bring the target member up in update mode, then start up the Compare session in browse. You can then go back and forth between the two sessions, using cut and paste to update. Awkward, but doable. But, when you go to save, you can't save it, so you have to save-as to a temporary member, then do a delete of the original and rename. For me, any gains of using this over CODE's compare is wiped out by these problems. Has anyone found a way around these issues?
