I got started on trying this - then I got busy moving to a new house and I 
haven't gotten back to it yet.  A big part of that was that each time my 
Linux distro updated the kernel, I had to recompile the kernel module to 
get any sort of reasonable performance.  I think the kernel module had 
been GPL'd now, so that may get better - I don't know if there are any BSD 
packages for this (does BSD use some sort of packaging system?).

I _think_ that I got as far as installing WDSC, and then starting on 
trying to get a VPN set up to work so that I could actually do something 
useful.  I didn't ever get a VPN connection going, so I can't really 
comment on performance, although I can say that the performance of Windows 
itself under QEMU was pretty reasonable on my machine - I gave QEMU just 
under 512 MB of RAM.
