Thanks for the replies Adrian and Jeff. Now that I know that the mouse does this, I can do much more with the mouse : Select the ligne, complete the block, move it, etc. As for point N° 4 on the list below, I've discovered Alt page up takes me back to where I started the block. A (slight) drag of the mouse will extend the selection. I have Control Panel
Mouse > Pointer Options > "Enhance pointer precision" checked, and this
