Bill,

The question asked by each of then is,
"Why do I want to go through that for a questionable advantage and still
have to use PDM for the ancillary chores such as debugging (can't get it
to work reliably) screen design, print file design, and comparing
sources?

By chance - what version of WDSC are you running? AND, what release of
OS/400 are you running?

There have been several articles and posts regarding how to do the
debugging. And, YES, I had issues with it early on, but once I got
current on my PTF's and stayed current on the WDSC releases, the debugger
has worked just fine.

Screen design, print file design - I do both in CODE designer - couldn't
live with out it.

And - BTW - I'm an RPG developer with "decades" of experience also. So,
I'm not just a .NET guy that had all of this Windows experience. Yes, you
have to learn some new stuff, but how productive can a developer be when
they stay in SEU and are looking at only 25 lines of code at time anyway?
Getting a handle on these new tools and learning to use them will make you
a better developer AND you'll debug old code better also. IMO

Good luck with it Bill.
