Thanks Nazmin,

There is so much to know about this wonderful product.
Everything is fine now.

Have a great day.

Hi Glenn,

What I meant by changing the DDS is for pulling in external descriptions.
You will want to have the option of Refresh Cache in the Preference page
ON
if you are modifying your external files for example, by adding, removing
or changing a field.

The Preference of specifying the Connection or using the specified one
only
applies to local files. This is determine where the external artifacts
should be pulled in from. When you are using the source members from
System
i, this is not an issue since the connection information where the member
resides will be used.

Regards,
Nazmin Haji

Hi Nazmin,

Thank you for your response.

I'm not working on the DDS at all, just the RPG program.

When I look at the preferences for Program Verifiers, should I have Prompt
For Connection selected or the next choice? Currently, I have the next
choice, which has a different connection selected that I am using. Is it
not smart enough to know which connection I am using? I have a different
library list for each connection.

Tks,

Glenn

Hi Glenn,

To get the Outline View to refresh, you will need to specify the
"Refresh
Cache" in the Preference Page under Program Verifiers. Once you stop
changing the DDS, you may want to disable the Refresh Cache for
performance
reasons.

Nazmin Haji

Hi Violaine,

After doing the refresh, The Error List is now okay but the Outline View
has not changed. I have refreshed the Outline View several times.

Tks,

Glenn

Hi Glenn,

Try to Verify with prompt, and select refresh cache.
The refresh your outline view.

Hi folks,

In both the Outline and when I do a verify, I get a message saying
"External description is not available" for one of my files. If I
expand
Library List, I can drill down and find the file there.

Only one file out of eight has this problem, the other seven are fine.

Tks,
