Hi Jon, Not sure if this will help for debug or not or not, but when I'm running multiple instances of WDSC, I ensure that the RSE communmication daemon is set to a unique port for each in the preferences: Remote Systems->Communications thanks, Violaine Batthish WebSphere Development Studio Client, IBM Toronto Lab wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrote on 03/06/2007 05:28:53 AM:
Further to my earlier - and way too optimistic - comment. I noted earlier that I had loaded a "lite" configuration of V7 on a
system
that had V6 AE and that it seemed happy enough. I spoke too soon. Things were happy all the time I didn't load the V6 version! When the SEP problem noted in another thread arose I decided to try the
old
V6 version to see if it would resolve the problem. Closed the V7 version. Loaded V6. After I had played around with a few things it just hung completely. Had to kill the whole process - it
wasn't
using any CPU - just doing nothing. Subsequently tried to load V7 - it insisted that its workspace was locked (no they hadn't been using the same workspace) so I had it create a new
one.
It hung the minute I tried to do anything beyond simply creating a connection. I guessed it must be something to do with the host servers so I moved to another PC and looked at the logs for a couple of them. One of the log retrievals had to be terminated as it just kept going an going and ... A look at what was in there indicated that something was looping -
something
about *\In not found?. Anyway I'm too tired and have too many deadlines to meet to take the time
to
debug it. Just wanted to warn you folks that all might not be sweetness
and
light! Jon Paris Partner400 www.Partner400.com
