Ok I just tried this seems that that was fixed. Not sure what version it happened on... This should be changed to not allow editing of the local source when in read-only mode. Thanks, Tommy Holden -----Original Message----- From: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of GKern@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, March 02, 2007 3:27 PM To: wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] RPG source in RSE not being saved to iSeries Yes I have the Softlanding plug ins for Compare/Merge, spool files and messages. But I only use it for compare. I don't like to do merges because of the way it corrupts the line date values. I still use good old pdm55 for merges (unless I have code up and running - which is pretty rare these days). And the following is another post from yesterday referring to this bug: I just found that in RSE by right clicking on iSeries commands and selecting servers, that if I shut all the servers down, and restart RSE, it prompts me to, from the green screen, to STRHOSTSVR *ALL and STRTCPSVR *DDM. After doing so then RSE comes up. I was then able to enter my initials in the prefix area and did a save and it actutally got saved to the iSeries. So I suspect it has something to do with recycling these servers (but which one?). And yes Aaron - I noticed that after doing the above that the ctrl-s did take 'longer' than it was during my other attempts at diagnosing this bug. However recycling the servers probably isn't a good solution as its not practical on production boxes. Luckily I'm on a test box and the only one who uses WDSCi (out of seven programmers).
