I wouldn't really expect Violaine or the others here to chime in on this. I'm sure they don't have any more control over it than we do, and are in that sense victims as much as we are. I expect they are following the addage: "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". I continue to commend them for the great work they are doing. It's a shame that not as many of us will be able to continue to benefit from it if IBM Marketing continues on the present course. Let's hope it all turns out to be the result of some (reversible) decision someone made not considering all the implications. On the other hand, to play the devil's advocate, at least as far as the screen design tool is concerned, why would IBM want to give us new tools to develop "old technology" ? Isn't the primary thrust of the broader Websphere initiative to move us away from green screen, not only in our development environment, but in terms of what we are developing ? I wouldn't be too surprised if they take away SDA as well in the not too distant future...
