I have been playing with Webfacing the past two days and have been able to get an application to run on our AS400 as well as a server instance running on my p/c. To convert and upload and activate a full blown application that we would want to use takes about 8 hours of machine time to run, p/c and AS400. The whole process seems like a lot of work to make screens look pretty to the end user. This does not include getting things to act, look, and work properly or as the user wants (customization). I guess I am asking those that have more experience with Webfacing, is it worth the effort or is it ultimately better to go buy a packaged piece of software that does it for you, like the Axes product, Websmart, or others. One other piece of info: how heavily are people using Webfacing apps? How many users do you have accessing a Webfacing app at one time and how is the performance?
