Violaine, when the FNDSTRPDM runs, does it run in the QZRCSRVS job or in a separate spawned job? If it runs in QZRCSRVS job, you should be able to put the EVFEVENT file right into QTEMP for that job. I understand that the EVFEVENTS file is currently hardcoded in FNDSTRPDM; that's a different issue. But I'm trying to consider a more general approach, and using the QTEMP library of the connection job might be a good technique (especially since it won't leave a bunch of EVFEVENT files lying around). From: Violaine Batthish The FNDSTRPDM command (which the WDSC search function uses) automatically generates the events file in *CURLIB/EVFEVENT member EVFEVENT So if multiple users have the same *CURLIB, then it is possible that conflicts may occur. I have opened a requirement to see if we can get the FNDSTRPDM command changed to allow specifying the target events file. thanks, Violaine Batthish WebSphere Development Studio Client, IBM Toronto Lab
