Extra screens after compile

When I first started using WDSc I was able to compile sources and the
only screen that came back was the error listing.  Then I updated and
now I get the command screen also.  I don't want the command screen but
I can't figure out how to get rid of it.  Also, is there a way to set
the tool bar permanently?  The only things I want in the bar are the
icons for outline and remote systems.  If I close the outline view by
using the 'X' it goes away completely and I have to go back to the
windows tab and reset it.
