<snip>
We have numerous programs that have multiple print files all referring
back to the same physical print file so these programs must be compiled
with overrides. Is there a way to do this in RSE?
</snip>

If you go to http://www.think400.dk/downloads.htm you will find a free
make tool I call Compile.

Compile solves this problem and many others and I have set it up to work
specially with RSE in addition to PDM.

You will find complete instructions on how to set up and use with RSE. I
have included both binary objects at V5R2M0 and source code.

Basically, you would just put the following in the header and then
select Compile from the Compile menu and it is compiled.

You can put in as many overrides as you like. In this example, I am
doing a CRTRPGMOD. It can just as well be CRTBNDRPG.

      *_> CNLLSTSPLF SRCFILE(@2/@1) SRCMBR(@3)
      *_> DLTMOD MODULE(@5/@4)
      *_> OVRPRTF FILE(PRTFILE1)
      *_>   TOFILE(PRTFILEO)
      *_>   OVRSCOPE(*JOB)
      *_>   SHARE(*YES)
      *_>   OPNSCOPE(*JOB)
      *_> CRTRPGMOD MODULE(@5/@4) SRCFILE(@2/@1) SRCMBR(@3) +
      *_>   OPTION(*EVENTF) DBGVIEW(@9) OPTIMIZE(@8)

Commands in the header can be any command that can be executed
interactively. @1, @2, etc. are substitution variables.

Anyway, full examples in readme. I use this for all my compiles in PDM
and RSE including SQL.
