I have been bit be the re-compile bug before, so I remove and recreate the Service Entry Point every time I re-compile (the refresh option has never worked for me). By "stops working", I mean that the programs run without debugging. I know that the Debug server is still functioning because I see console messages from other developers.
Hmm ... if the Refresh isn't doing the trick, the only other thing I can think of is that there is a SBMJOB going on somewhere, and the program you're trying to debug is not actually running under your user profile. Service Entry Points only work for programs running under a specific user profile (for obvious reasons). If it ends up being some sort of debugger bug, please post your solution if you find one.
