I have removed my outline in the default mode and I can't get it to come
back to the original screen. I can toggle to it when I go to the top
right hand corner but I would like to restore it back to the default main
screen. What am I forgetting to do? I have seen this issue before but I
cannot find the solution now.

Al, a "screen" in WDSC is actually called a Perspective. There are different
perspectives for Remote Systems Explorer and for Debugging and for Web (and
many others). There is no "default" perspective; the perspective that comes
up is the one you had open when you closed the workbench. There is a
default perspective that comes up when you create a brand new workspace;
that's the Remote Systems Explorer perspective.

You can customize each of these perspectives, which includes closing views
you don't want, and the workbench remembers the settings. The problem with
that is what you've run into; the closed view doesn't come back.

You can get around this by using the Reset Perspective option from the
Window menu. This will reset the current perspective to its default
settings. You will get back the original views, but you will also lose any
other changes you've made. You can also just open the view using the Show
View option from the same Window menu, and then save the workspace (or close
it). Since WDSC remember your settings, from that point the view should
show again every time you open that perspective.
