Now, what about this one ? How do I change the size of the editor window
without clicking on the tab of the member, ie, by using the keyboard ?

You can fill an area with a character or string.  To blank it out:
Alt+R, Alt+R to mark the area, then popup > Selected > Fill selection >
SPACE, Enter.  Or: Alt+R, Alt+R > Esc > block fill, Enter.
