        That was my primary problem - when cutting and pasting - and I never
tried doing it from bottom to top.  I'll incorporate that immediately.

I've learnt to use the cursor up key rather than Enter or cursor down. 
Let's say I've copied a bunch of DDS into my D specs so I can create a 
data structure loosely based on the DDS.  Pasting DDS into RPG makes the 
syntax checker paint my screen pink (like it's supposed to!)

If I want to do the same thing to all lines (like add an underscore), if 
I put the underscore and press arrow down, the cursor goes left.  If I 
press the up cursor, the cursor doesn't change columns.

So I tend to work my way through a stack of errors from the bottom to 
the top...
