Sure...STRPDM, F18, Roll Down, Display Informational Messages = 2. Problem solved...well, at annoyance solved anyway. On 11/15/06, David C. Shea <dshea@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Problem 1... I have tried installing WDSC6 on my XP machine several times - from both the DVD and from the CDs. When I'm done and I start WDSC for iSeries on the PC, it fires up but none of the buttons have any labels. For example - the Workspace Launcher appears with the default directory, but the three buttons are blank. There is no text next to the check box. I know which button is OK... I click it and subsequent screens have no icons on the buttons. Problem 2... When I try to uninstall, it fails. Doesn't tell me why. The directory c:\program files\ibm\... still has loads of stuff under it. I can't delete the folder because the path is too long somewhere down the line. If I rename some of the directories to shorten things, I can finally delete the tree. What's up with this? So far, I'd say my experience with WDSC has been less than stellar. But at least PDM keeps telling me "have you tried the MODERN way...?" So far, I'd say that my 'stone knives and bear skins' (seu, pdm, etc) are working better than the new phasers and photon torpedoes...
