Add general plug-ins to WDSC

I notice that SoftLanding are one of the very few that make good plug-ins that 
are really add-on's to the WDSC software. 

Is it possible that IBM put (buy) these in the standard product? 

I understand this is maybe not an open source philosophy but it might encourage 
more companies to create add-on's.
