can't get report viewer to work...

I am trying to use the report viewer in WDSC to look at a spooled report my 
program generated. To do that, I am choosing the "view" option when you 
right click on a spooled file entry in the Remote Systems perspective. 
Whether I expand the tree and right click on an individual entry and choose 
"view" or if I choose to "Show in table" and then choose "view" from there I 
get the same results.

I do have the SoftLanding plug-in installed so that may have something to do 
with this.

The viewer will open in a separate window but all the controls are 
grayed-out and the report never loads. It's just a dead window. From the 
same perspective, I can get the item to load in to the text editor if I 
choose "Open with text editor" instead of "view".

Is there a configuration setting I missed somewhere for the report viewer to 
work? TIA
