Can someone from IBM speak up about this, I heard(from an IBMer) that EGL
was going to be opensourced and therefore I really do not understand the
concern as it could / would be available in base Eclipse products
therefore automagically available in WDSC. If someone from IBM could
   comment?

Also some other resources for learning EGL can be found on the following web
 site:

There are a lot of tutorials and sample code on this web site. Please be
advised some of the documentation applies to zSeries and not the iSeries.
Jon Sayles at IBM has been running some e-learning classes on the subject
that have been quite helpful to me. The classes are FREE of charge. If you
are interested in his classes send me a private email using my email address
below, and I'll give you his email address. Jon is part of the IBM EGL Eco
Systems team. I hope this was helpful.

 Jerry,

There's a tutorial that helps you with the initial setup of EGL within
 WDSCi. Go to

Help -> Tutorials Galery -> Do and Learn -> Introducing EGL (a quick-start
 guide)

The first chapter helps you to enable EGL for your Web perspective.

 Subject: [WDSCI-L] EGL components

I'm interested in exploring EGL, but do not see any links in my WDSC
install to get me started. I seem to recall that EGL is installed as a
separate component (which I may have chosen to not install during my
initial install)... or am I mistaken?

I'm running Version: 6.0.1, Build id: 20050725_1800 with all current
 updates.
