But tell me this, can I get a shared full-screen view of 2 side-by-side
open
sources? i.e. when you double-click on a source window tab it will
change to
full-screen and then back again. Can I get the same effect where the 2 sources together are full-screen each sharing half?
This is where you can use the iSeries Editing view from the RSE Extensions plugin that Mark mentioned earlier. It allows the Softlanding created this plugins and then released them as an open source project, and it has many other great features aside from the iSeries Editing view. I don't think I'm amiss in saying that many would consider this plugin a must-have for getting the most from WDSC. Actually, you can make the 'iSeries Editing view' on your own, but the plugin has some great stuff (Merge/Compare tool) that you can't do without the plugin. If you want just the full-screen side-by-side: 1. Window->Save Perspective As... and save a copy of your RSE perspective as 'iSeries Editing'. This way you don't mess up your normal RSE - in case you do mess up RSE, just 'Window->Reset perspective' 2. Close all of the little tabs around the Editor. Outline, iSeries Table, Properties, etc. 3. Now your editor should be full-screen, and you can do side-by-side using all of the screen real estate available!
