You could post the recording on geofftheitgeek.com...or whatever it is...the latest iseries nation incarnation... On 9/14/06, albartell <albartell@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
What are the chances that the session will be recorded? Something like this, in recorded form, would be perfect to post on midrange.com and point people to when they are just starting or want to find more useful tidbits that maybe aren't readily apparent. I will be going through the process in the next week of training somebody in on how to code RPG on the iSeries (currently he is a PHP,Java,Perl,.NET programmer getting into RPG) and what you will be teaching would be great for him to watch! Any chance you will be doing one of these at Rochester, MN in the future? (I live near there :-) Sounds like this is a great idea! Keep up the effort! A large focus of the roadshow will be on the RSE and specifically some tips and techniques for setting up the RSE to be more productive. We are planning a quick overview of the RSE for beginners but the main part of it will assume some basic background with the RSE and will look at more intermediate features, so there should be something there for everyone - both beginner and advanced. SoftLanding will also be showing how they have integrated their TurnOver change management system into the RSE. The cities are: Waltham, MA Toronto, ONT (hosted right here at the Lab!) Chicago, IL Coppell, TX Dates, details and registration can be found here: http://events.techtarget.com/WDSCproductivity/ If you are near any of those cities hopefully you can attend. If you do, then make sure to stop by and say hi. It's always good to put faces to names.
