Michael,
When you extract the zip file you downloaded to plugin directory, all
extract files should be in org.vssplugin_<version> folder. What unzip
porgram are you using?

That's the folder I used. But my question is not concerning the location.
Is
it enough just to extract all the individual files to that folder? All the
other plug-ins are neatly organized in their own sub-folder. Shouldn't it
be
that way for this plug-in too?

When you had it installed it worked? Could you see it in the list of
plug-ins?

I don't remember exactly where I installed it. I think it was C:\Program
Files\IBM\Rational\SDP\6.0\eclipse\plugins. I don't have it installed
here
anymore.

Mike,

To answer your earlier question, we store our mainframe source programs
in
VSS.

I need a bit more help if you don't mind. According to the "readme.html"
member in the downloaded zip file, it says I should unpack the zip-file
into
my eclipse plug-in directory. I did that but I am not seeing it show up
in
the list of plug-ins. Looking at all the other plug-ins in that folder
just
extracting the contents of the zip-file there doesn't "feel" right. Each
plug-in is in a separate folder. It also appears that the names of all
the
folders follow a specific naming convention.

I did what the readme says and restarted WDSC. I am not seeing the
plug-in
in any of the lists of plug-ins. What have I missed here?

What version of VSS are you conecting to and what are you going to be
storing there? We tried iSeries projects but had problems with a
previous
version of VSS. The latest version is supposed to fix it, but we have
never
gotten around to testing it. I believe there was a problem with file
names
that started with a period.

List,

I was told by someone at IBM that they thought that there was a
plug-in
for
Microsoft Visual SourceSafe for WDSC. I searched the eclipse.org site
but
couldn't find such an animal. Anyone know if that plug-in exists? If
so,
where can I get it? TIA
