This brings up a question I have wondered about. I also always thought that QTEMP should be at the top of the user portion of the library list. What is the logic for placing it at the end of the list instead of the beginning? Thank you, Ronald L. Zimmerman I.T. My original problem started with a CL running interactively. I decided to get down to the very basics and did the following scenario. From command line. Lib Qtemp- end of lib list Lib Prodlib- middle of lib list CRTDUPOBJ OBJ(EMPMST) FROMLIB(Prodlib) OBJTYPE(*FILE) TOLIB(QTEMP) NEWOBJ(*OBJ) OVRDBF FILE(EMPMST) TOFILE(QTEMP/EMPMST) DBU EMPMST File displayed is from Prodlib. Shouldn't this display the file in QTEMP? Michael Smith iSeries.mySeries.
