Jerry,

STRDBG also offered two keys.

F10-Step (Over)
F22-Step into

So WDSC isn't really any different.

Point of fact, every debugger I've ever seen offered at least Step Over
and Step Into.

HTH,

Charles Wilt

Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] ILE Debugging question

Thanks Xuan,

I'm aware of F7 too, again it's just an issue of workflow.

I guess it's carryover from the STRDBG days when I only had
to use one
fkey (F10) to step.

Now that I have up to four fkeys that I have to think about
each time I
end up in a module that is not part of the problem, if I
press the wrong
one I can easily corrupt or exit my debug session and have to
begin the
debug session again.

(And don't misunderstand - I do like the availability of all four
functions.)

That's why I was wondering if there was a way to 'lock' the
module being
debugged so that F5, F6, F7, F8 only react within that
'locked' module.

I'll learn to live with it as is.

Regards, Jerry
