Whoopee, it works. Only thing is it needs to be

per your help document. So I end up with:

COMPILE OBJ(&L/&N) SRCFILE(&L/&F) SRCMBR(&N) ENV(*GUI) BATCH(*NO) /*
*EVENTF SRCMBR(&N) */

I believe if you change your command in RSE to COMPILE OBJ(&L/&N)
SRCFILE(&L/&F) SRCMBR(&N) ENV(*GUI) BATCH(*NO)  /* *EVFEVENT */

Then all should work as you expect.
