Hi Chip,

There are no settings for conversion to free-form RPG. I consulted with
the RPG developer who sent me this reply:

<snip>
The current conversion gives a result that is completely compatible with
what it replaces.
It would be possible to have a few more 100%-compatible conversions. But
in most cases, even when it seems identical (say ADD to an addition
expression), the semantics of the most free-form versions of the operations
are different; for example, ADD suppresses overflow exceptions while EVAL
always generates them. %LOOKUP does a binary search while the LOOKUP
operation does a sequential search which can sometimes give a different
result.
</snip>

IBM is committed to providing only 100% compatible conversion, so I don't
expect any changes to the conversion utility.

thanks,

Is there any way of 'enhancing' the way WDSC converts to free-form RPG?
When I do a conversion, it leaves all of the MOVEL, Z-ADD, etc.
statements
unchanged. That leaves way too much manual effort!
