Hi,

As of version 6, IBM rebranded the products as Rational instead of Websphere
(people got used to Websphere, so it was time to confuse them again).

Since JDK 5 is out for quite some time, as well as Eclipse 3.1... IBM must be
busy to catch up on that as well with a new Rational version, but as far as I
know there hasn't been anything official about a release date.

Knowing that Sun does have a planned released date for JDK 6, and Eclipse has
one for 3.2, one wonders why it takes IBM so long to catch up (especially since
it large contribution to Java and Eclipse).

By the time the next Rational version will be released... it will be outdated !
(and me thinking this was only an iSeries issue :-)

Kind regards,
Paul

[WDSCI-L] New Rational Version?

I have been seeing announcements for a new version of Rational Developer,
does this mean that our WDSc will have an update as well? If so, what
version of Eclipse will it be based on?
