Java Editor Content Assist

Anyone ever have a problem with Ctrl + Space showing the available methods
for a class, but it just flashes briefly and goes away?  I get this every
once in awhile and am getting it today (and it is annoying the heck out of
me! :-)
 
It almost feels like something is trying to grab the focus as soon as the
little Content Assist prompt comes up.
 
Any suggestions?
