For the WF runtime PTFs for the WF server and WSFM ...

The newer function in the latest WF client runtime requires additional
support from the server.

Subject
[WDSCI-L] Webfacing & PTFs

All,

I'm trying to do a sample application in Webfacing, just so we can get a
handle on how it works (and so we've got something to compare against the
vendor who's pitching their expensive screen scraping product).

But I can't get the single converted screen to run. I get the index jsp,
and
the sign-on screen, but then get a whomping great error page, with the
following errors:

The following error occurred while the application was running :

WF0105: Client version negotiation with WebFacing server failed. The
server may require an upgrade.

Additional information :

     com.ibm.as400ad.webfacing.runtime.core.WFServerDownLevelException:
WF0107: The client detected a down level version of the WebFacing server.
Communication with the server has been terminated.

WF0108: Recovery: Apply the latest iSeries PTFs for the WebFacing server.

Now, fair enough, we are missing some of the required PTF's, and have
requested they get put on. But the whole process seems very flimsy, if it
won't run at all if the back end and IDE are out of synch in the PTF's? I
keep my WDSC IDE updated, but have no control over how quickly PTF's are
applied to the iSeries.

Also my colleague and I get completely different lists when we run the
Verify Connection option to see the missing PTF's

Chris.
