After you set your service point, just run the job from the Iseries. It
doesn't matter whether you submit it or call it from a command line.
The only important bit is that it run with the same user ID your RSE
connection uses.

As soon as it is running, you should be able to go back to WDSC and find
that your are now in the debug perspective, and your source will be in
one of the windows there (it may be small, and you may want to make fast
views out of some of the other windows that are in the way so you can
work with it more comfortably).

Just set your breakpoints from there (or you could have done it in RSE
before starting debug), and look on the run menu for the Fkeys to use to
step into/over, resume, etc.

|Hi Rob,
|
|The service entry point invocation of a debug session will not work for
if
|you run your program in the RSE server job. Good catch :-), but it is
|working as designed. We took this off since if the debug session is
|started on the RSE job, all the other RSE operations will be held.
|If you want to debug a program running on the RSE job, you need to
attach
|to that job explicitly.

|
|Hi Mike,
|
|One of the way to invoke the debugger to debug your program is to use
|Service Entry Point support in RSE.
|
|If you are using WDSc 6.0, right click on the program/service program
you
|want to debug, and choose Debug (Service Entry) -> Set Service Entry
|Point.
|If you are using WDSc 5.1.2, right click on the program/service program
|you
|want to debug, and choose Service Entry Point -> Set.
|
|Then just run your program/service program. A debug session will come
up,
|with your program under debug.
|
|Thanks,
