Hi Vern,

May I ask what version of iSeries and WDSC you are running?
There is an APAR for FNDTRPDM SE14733 that indicates that the fix for this
occurs for a future release after V5R2M0.
I've tried with 6.0.1 on V5R3 and V5R2 but I don't get the spooled files.
Has the FNDSTPDM command defaults been changed?
When I look at the Command Log view I see the following command logged:
FNDSTRPDM STRING(test) FILE(BATTHISH/QCLSRC) MBR(*ALL) OPTION(*NONE) COL(1
*RCDLEN) CASE(*IGNORE) PRTRCDS(*ALL *CHAR) PARM(*EVENTF)

Here is the APAR text
(although there are some errors: PARM(*EVENTF) should appear, and it should
say OPTION(*NONE)):

Submitter Page
Error Description:
When using RSE, if a user selects a source member and then
search from the pull down menu the output from that search is
automatically directed to the system output. There is currently
no way to alter that configuration default.

FNDSTRPDM STRING(TEST) FILE(ALL) MBR(YSET) OPTION(NONE)
PRTRCDS(*ALL) is the default

Local Fix:
The user can manually submit the command from the "Command
interface" within the WDSC product using the
FNDSTRPDM STRING(TEST) FILE(ALL) MBR(YSET) OPTION(NONE)
PRTRCDS(*NONE)

Comments:
In order to fix this problem, an enhancement is suggested for
FNDSTRPDM command on host to allow *NONE for PRTMBRLIST
parameter or PRTRCDS parameter when using *NONE for the OPTION
parameter (not issue the PDM0572 error message). This would
allow RSE to submit a FNDSTRPDM command that would not generate
so many spool files. This FNDSTRPDM enhancement will be
provided in the future release.
