WSDS hanging

I had a specific source member in ISeries Project that compiles and runs OK (so 
the veracity of the source is not in question). However, when I tried to 
refresh the "Outline" view of the source Eclipse just hung - eventually I had 
to kill it.  From there on in, whenever I try to view the source in the LPEX 
editor it just hangs again (probably because of the outline issue).

After umpteen attempts I realised what was going on, so just to get a look at 
the source again I loaded it from RSE.  This was fine - but then I made the 
fatal mistake refreshing the outline view of that also.  It hung again.

Now I can't start Eclipse at all - just hangs on the splash screen :-(

What can I do to get out of this, and why is it hanging anyway ?
