Group,

When doing a "Find string" in WDSCi (V6.0.0.1 Build id: 20050725_1800) I
regularly get several errors.

The most important one is RSEF1002E: "Operation failed. File system input
or output error" The error details say "Message reported from file
system: records: Length is not valid."

This error can only be anwered with OK, after which the search stops.

There are also often errors, saying that member EVFEVENT in file EVFEVENT
in library xxx is doesn't exist, even though the member is there (I
checked this several times). But these errors can be answered with 'OK'
and after that it seems that the search simply continues.

Because of these annoying errors, I cannot trust that a text search from
WDSCi is complete, so I have to revert to option 25 in PDM (and I hate
going back to 5250).

In case it's important, I run these searches through a member filter that
spans 4 files in 4 libraries.

The archives at midrange.com show this error in relation to not being able
to open one or more members, but not related to the find function.

Any suggestion as to how this can be solved, would be highly welcomed.

Thanks in advance,
