Hi and thanks for the response. Well, we have a quite tight secured system over here and we have not had authority to the STRDBGSVR command up until now. That was the reason to the question but is no longer an issue since it has been changed. What is the preferred way to make sure that STRDBGSVR is run after IPL to make sure it is always started? I am not sure what do you mean here. In RSE, if you right click on a subsystem, and choose Remote Servers -> Debug. If the debug server already started, the Start popup menu will be disabled. The job name for the debug server is QB5ROUTER. >> 2. Is this so? I did not know about the debugger in iSeries Acess OpNav. I could try to find out if that is the same debugger as the one shipped with Toolbox java classes. >> On the STRTCPSVR command there is an option *DBG for the SERVER parameter. Now I would be very grateful if you could help me sorting following things out. And yes maybe it is not 100% right forum but almost I think. 1. When using the integrated debugger in WDSC the STRDBGSVR command must have been issued to start the debug-server before I can use it. What is the preferred way to make sure that STRDBGSVR is run after IPL to make sure it is always started? 2. I've found a Graphical debug server entry in the iSeries Access OpNav part, which I think has something to do with the Graphical debugger delivered together with the Toolbox java classes. Is this so? On the STRTCPSVR command there is an option *DBG for the SERVER parameter. What is this, another debug server? When is it used? How does these 3 debug possibilities relate to each other?
