Hi Gary,

You shouldn't need to reinstall WDSc, it looks like a problem with one
of
the preferences files in the workspace. Can you send me the following
file:

%workspace_root%\.metadata\.plugins\com.ibm.etools.systems.core\pref_sto
re.ini

Thanks.

All,

Yesterday I was working on a java application and started debug. I
thought I had ended debug before making some changes. But, when I tried
to save the changes I received an error stating something to the effect
the background update could not be done.

It was late so I closed WDSC without any problems. Now WDSC won't start
again. I've rebooted my box and still no luck. I keep getting the
message

Problems during startup. Check the ".log" file in the
                 ".metadata" directory of your workspace.

.log starts with the the following and just gets worse.

!MESSAGE Problems occurred when invoking code from
                          plug-in: "org.eclipse.ui.workbench".

I've searched the archives bu didn't see anything similar. Anyone have
any ideas on what's going on? I only want to reinstall WDSC as a last
resort.
