WebSphere and SSI (shtml) -- WDSCI-L

I have a Web project that has many .shtml files in it. I want to be able to
deploy it as a  .ear file to our WebSphere server, but I am not sure that
SSI is supported. When I try to run on server with the websphere test
environment none of the included files are included.
