Ewout, What is the type of your variable ? If your variable is RPG or COBOL array, you can specify it with a range when adding an expression monitor, such as myvariable(101..110). For C++/C array, WDSC integrated debugger does not support array subset syntax yet , such as myvariable[101..110]. You can monitor array or string starting from a specific position though, using myvariable + 101. date: Wed, 4 Jan 2006 09:44:14 +0100 from: Ewout N Boter <ewout.boter@xxxxxxxxxx> subject: [WDSCI-L] Substring in Monitor Expression In a debug session, I want to check the value of a specific portion of a large (buffer) variable. For example, I just want to check positions 101-110. How can I achieve this? As it seems, Monitor Expression does not have the possibility to set a substring. Am I missing something? (Actually, I hope so.)
