Xuan,

I tried that and a window came up asking for connection, library,
program name, module and user id. But nothing happened when I pressed
okay. I saw a new tab open up for "Iseries service entry points", but
no programs are listed in that table. I run the program on the 5250
screen and it doesn't start any debug sessions.

Steve,

Could you please try the following scenario:
. In RSE, right click on the program you want to debug, and choose
Debug (Service Entry) -> Set Service Entry Point. A specific breakpoint
will be set for your program. . Go to your 5250 screen, and run that
program. See if the debug session could startup.

Thanks,

Hello,

I'm trying to get the iseries interactive debugger working in WDSC 6.0,
but I get the following job running under the debug window; State:
<waiting for engine> Connection: local (disconnected). I would think
this should say my connection is the Iseries and then list the thread
information below it. How do I get the connection to the Iseries
instead of Local? Is there another TCP/IP port that has to be opened up
through the firewall? I had the network team open up 8001 and 4300.

The debug server is started on the Iseries and I'm able to run STRRSESVR
on an interactive job. What's missing?

Thank you,
Steve Cross
