Hi folks, Looks like the note I sent yesterday had some formatting problems. I am still very keen to get responses to my query, hence I am re-sending properly formatted note: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ We are currently conducting an investigation regarding future support of the Edit Word in our Web UI. As many of you might be aware, Edit Word syntax is quite elaborate, and hence complex. One of the Edit Word examples that DDS documentation provides, has to do with currency formatting, in particular: Edit Word: ' , , DOLLARS CENTS' Program Value: 0000135678 Displayed As: 1,356DOLLARS78CENTS I wanted to get an idea whether similar usage of Edit Word for formatting currency and/or other 'units of measure' constructs (for example FEET and INCHES) are commonly used in the RPG/COBOL applications. Any information/opinions/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Please forward your responses directly to my e-mail address: berestet@xxxxxxxxxx ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thanks very much, Vadim Berestetsky iSeries Application Modernization Internet: berestet@xxxxxxxxxx
