You got some good replies already. Let me add my own.

There are at least 2 compare tools in WDSC. One is the native Eclipse tool, which has a few problems, including that it compares the entire record, including sequence number and change date, IIRC. This one is activated from RSE by selecting the 2 members, then right clicking, move over the Compare... item, and select the only option to compare with each other. It's a text compare, and, as I said, sequence number and date are included. Makes it pretty useless.

The other is what someone mentioned - open a member, then click on the delta (triangle) on the upper right. you will be prompted for the member to compare to. The original member is displayed with unchanged areas in normal display, changed areas in 2 colors - yellow for the original, pink for the one you selected. I have yet to find or be told how to copy from the pink into the yellow. Some IBMer or other please help here, because this is pretty useless otherwise.

The CODE compare is better in almost all respects, but don't hold your breath to see that in RSE. That is not based on knowledge, just long disappointment with some things, yet I know that budget matters. So, I don't know.
