I tried using the CODE screen designer in WDSC and was getting an error. Turned out that WDSC needs to add a record to the local C: drive hosts file and point a name to an IP address on the AS/400. Changing the local hosts file is also a technique used by some spyware to redirect your browser to the wrong site so SpySweeper makes the local hosts file read only. Every time I tried to turn off the read-only attribute in Windows SpySweeper turned it back on. I disabled SpySweeper, changed the hosts file and CODE Designer worked.
