I just did a fresh install of WDSC 5.1.2 on a spare machine in our
office.  I downloaded all the updates and everything went fine.  

I setup a simple web project in the Java perspective and when I try to
add a new test server to the workspace I get a error that reads "Could
not save Server Project" reason "Can not Save Master Table".  Then when
I close the workspace I get a "Save Error" and the detail says "  Unable
to store Workbench state".  And when I re-open the workspace my project
does show up.  

Any suggestions??
