I had read about the job description, but I can't find anywhere to associate a jobD on VARPG. DO I need to add it to my user profile? If not, can you explain in detail. Add the library to your *LIBL (through e.g., a job description); 2. In the GUI designer, select Servers->Define iSeries Information and then define a server alias, and click the Files tab, and add a file definition for file UACT. You can refer to the "subfile" sample project that comes with the product. Thanks. I'm going through one of the labs that I went through at COMMON. I have the GUI designed and have modified the code. Here is my problem. I'm receiving FUACT IF E K Disk Remote RNV0410E File *LIBL/UACT not found on server RGT. RNV2120E External description for file UACT not found; file is ignored. I have done the following Defined a server Defined an alias under 'Define Iseries Information' Added my libraries under 'library list' in Communications Console' I have not added anything under 'Define Iseries Logon' Any idea what I'm missing. PS. When I add do a 'Define Field Reference' it doesn't pick up the libraries I added in my library list. Thanks Michael Smith iSeries.mySeries.
